AS WE start Annus Ginibilis (our name for 2018), let’s venture forth into the unknown and explore the hidden treasures lying undiscovered within gin cocktails.

All gins contain botanical infusions to achieve their unique flavour signature, and all things botanical remain monumentally popular this year.

Hendrick’s Gin, notable for its use of cucumber and rose petals, invites all budding enthusiasts to explore and take inspiration in stirring up their own tipple.

Shaun Stemmett, South African Brand Manager for Hendrick’s Gin, says: “Hendrick’s Gin’s wondrous botanical signature proudly comprises of a range of botanicals from all over the world. The 11 botanicals include flowers, roots, fruits, and seeds, and they all uniquely function to complement, and raise the bar for our delicious gin. This year, we will be dedicating a month to the discovery of each of our botanicals: Juniper, Yarrow, Elderflower, Orange Peel, Angelica Root, Caraway, Chamomile, Coriander, Cubeb Berry, Orris Root, and Lemon.”

"This January, we tip our hat to the original Hendrick’s Gin tipple – the Hendrick’s Gin and Tonic served with slices of cucumber and garnished with red rose petals," he adds.
